This post is in response to a few comments that came in this evening. It appears some feathers are ruffled.
Let's get something perfectly clear. I didn't lie about anything. You and everyone else has heard the same things posted here, don't even try to say you haven't.
I am guilty of putting in print things everyone has been saying for years, ever since they started spreading biosolids. The only fault you can find among all these posts is those few lines and nothing else? It doesn't bother you that the very air you breathe is being polluted? It doesn't bother you that this could very well pollute the water you fish and swim? It doesn't bother you that procedures set forth by PADEP have not been followed? Of course it doesn't, the only thing that bothers you is the fact that we publicized it and you don't know who we are.
That's right, I said WE, as in more than one person. Because of the nature of life in small towns WE have to remain anonymous due to the harsh retaliation we know we will suffer. WE have to reach out far and wide to get information we want to prove our point. WE have to utilize all of our resources because those that are supposed to enforce the laws, rules and regulations appear to not be doing their jobs.
So instead of wasting so much time nitpicking and trying to find out who we are, you have options. You can lead, follow or get out of the way.

Of course it bothers me that the air stinks, the water could be contaminated. Hell, there was an avalanche of poo-slop last Tuesday during the flood. Seriously, a shit slide, came right over the scanner. Not in those exact words. But what can be done about it? They can't scrape it up. It's great that they filled in those pits, have you been up there before? You could take a walk and never return in the past. Green meadows it may be some day. Recreation area? Never. Nobody should be back there. My grandpa and great grandpa worked back there, under it. Everyone's grandpa either farmed, worked in the creamery or worked in the mines. That land will never be usable to the public, it was a hazardous zone before, it's a hazardous mess now. They mined down thirteen levels, that's 30' between slopes, 5' x 20' x 60' shafts, 20'x20' pillars. That's like half a mile deep. Bernice will fall into the depths of hell someday. I see no purpose to reclaim that land, you can't see it, it was there when you were born, it was there when I was born... My parents, your parents, it'll be there when my great great grandchildren die. They should have left it alone. But, it's too late. They can stop now, and it'll stink for ten years, they can keep sprinkling cherry blossom scented powder around town. It's too late to fix it. You're just causing trouble among townsfolk. Is that your goal? Make everyone hate each other? It's working. Congrats.
Who are ya? Chester? Earl? It's gotta be someone in old Bernice. Someone that can spell right, and use a computer. It's riddled with political jabs, so that sounds like Earl, he likes to go on and on about politics to anyone that will listen. But he doesn't seem like the type that can use a computer. So that cuts out about 95% of Bernice residents. I could name every person that lives in Bernice, and if it's on a hill, you have to actually live on Main St. in the village, which of course is old PA 564.
Harold, the goal is to unite people for a common cause not the opposite. Unfortunately, there are those that want things to change but won't take the time or initiative to stand up, work cohesively to affect change. As in all things, no matter if its a civic organization, fraternal organization, religious or political group, 20% of those involved do all the work while the others complain about the work being done. Everyone is a coach and no one is a player. It's sad really.
I'm going to ask some of the others if they'll do a post, addressing your comment. There is a lot to be said here.
I am not Chester or Earl and I do not live in old Bernice. Don't spend so much time worrying about who any of us are, it will drive you crazy. We remain anonymous to keep our families and ourselves safe from retribution.
You know what it smells like today? Poo Stew. That stuff runs off the hill in streams when it rains this hard.
I don't see where anyone lied, perhaps mislead readers by using hearsay instead of factual statements?
